Steve Taylor
Director & Financial Planner
Steve is the Senior Financial Planner at Start FP. He has over 35 years’ experience in the industry, with over 27 years as a Financial Planner. Steve achieved his Chartered Financial Planner Status in 2009 and became a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (PFS), part of the Chartered Insurance Institute, in 2013. This is the very highest designation awarded by the PFS. Steve is regularly referred to the clients of solicitors and accountants and this, in turn, has led to him being appointed by many professionals for their own financial planning. Outside of work, Steve likes to go and watch, and listen to, all genres of music. His favourite day would be a walk in the wonderful English countryside followed by a pint of real ale in a country pub.
Rachael Taylor
Director & Office Manager
Rachael manages the office at Start FP having being part of the Client Support team since Steve started his own business back in 2002. Rachael has very strong relationships with clients, having worked with many of them for several years. Her attention to detail and ability to ‘care’ builds the trust for clients that reinforces the advice given. Rachael uses her position and years in the industry to make sure that clients enjoy the best possible experience at Start FP. Outside of work, Rachael enjoys spending time with family and friends, particularly if it involves a glass of Prosecco! Walks in Derbyshire and Pilates are also favourite pastimes.
Graeme Goodwin
Paraplanner & Financial Planner
Graeme is part of the team that advises clients at Start FP but is also responsible for all Technical Support. In 2018, he achieved the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning awarded by the Personal Finance Society, part of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He works closely with the advisers and administrators to create and deliver recommendations and conducts research of financial products and investments to ensure they remain suitable and competitive for clients. Outside of work, Graeme enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys keeping active whilst exploring the outdoors from running to climbing to paddleboarding.
Charlotte Reynolds
Financial Planner
Charlotte is part of the team that advises clients at Start FP. In 2019, she achieved the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning awarded by the Personal Finance Society, part of the Chartered Insurance Institute. Charlotte has been in financial services since 2003, working her way up as an administrator, technical support to Financial Advisers and then Operations Manager. As a Financial Planner she has experience of working with individual clients and also corporate clients in dealing with pension schemes and other company benefits. Outside of work, Charlotte loves spending time with her family and friends and not forgetting Wilfred the dog. She enjoys keeping fit at the gym and trips away in search of warmer climes!
Emma Richardson
Client Support
Emma has a background in banking and has worked for local government, supporting vulnerable people who need guidance to get their financial lives in order. Emma supports our clients and financial planners to ensure processes and administration run smoothly. Outside of work, Emma devotes her time to her children Harry and Phoebe. They spend their time finding exciting places to visit, their favourite being Reighton Sands. When Emma gets a minute away from the craziness of a young family, she enjoys spending quality time with her friends.
